Cases in Healthcare Finance

These first 29 Excel spreadsheets are hosted at the publisher's site in support of the book, Cases in Healthcare Finance, by Louis Gapensky. The author explains:

"In developing the case models, an important question arose: Should I provide complete models to the students, or should I require students to do some (or all) of the modeling themselves? After using several different approaches, I concluded that that best solution is to provide students with complete versions of the case models in the sense that no modeling is required to obtain a base case solution. However, zeros have been entered for all input data in the student versions, and hence students must identify and then enter the appropriate input data. When this is done, the model automatically calculates the base case solution. However, the student version models do not contain risk analyses or other extensions such as graphics, so students must modify the models as necessary to make them most useful in completing the cases. The case models are updated as needed throughout the life of the casebook and each model is dated to reflect the latest revision. Students should periodically check the web site to ensure that they have the latest versions of the models." - Louis C. Gapenski, PhD, author of Cases in Healthcare Finance
