Anne M. Barker, EdD, RN is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she teaches patient care services administration at the graduate level and leadership and management at the undergraduate level. She has extensive leadership experience at the clinical level in acute care settings and in nursing education. Anne has written two previous books, Transformational Nursing Leadership: A Vision for the Future and Leadership in Dietetics: Achieving a Vision for the Future.

Dori Taylor Sullivan, PhD, RN, CNA, CPHQ is Chair and Associate Professor of Nursing at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. She is also the Director of Interdisciplinary Studies for the College of Education and Health Professions. Dr. Sullivan has held a variety of leadership positions in healthcare education and practice settings including assistant vice chancellor of an academic medical center and senior principle/chief research officer of a national consulting firm. Her scholarship focuses on areas including leadership, practice, and education, program evaluation, and quality performance improvement with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.

Michael J. Emery, PT, EdD is the chairman of the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is also co-director of the Sacred Heart University/Saint Charles Health and Wellness Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Dr. Emery is a Physical Therapist by professional training and an academic administrator of programs in physical therapy, athletic training and exercise science. He has also led the development of a comprehensive faculty practice on campus and in the community, the establishment of a Motion Analysis Laboratory within the department and the creation of a wellness center. His scholarship includes the areas of physical therapy education, educational leadership, workforce analysis, and treatment of chronic musculoskeletal disorders. He has served the American Physical Therapy Association in a variety of capacities, most recently as chairman of the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Education.
