The tools in Practical Guide to Hospitalist Recruitment and Retention can help you recruit the physicians that are key to your program's success.

The demand for hospitalists continues to grow at an aggressive rate. According to the Society of Hospital Medicine, the number of hospitalists is projected to reach more than 30,000 by 2010. However, the demand for these specialists is expected to continue to grow at an even more aggressive rate, making it challenging for programs to meet the demand.

In such a competitive market, how can your program recruit and retain the most qualified hospitalists?

Practical Guide to Hospitalist Recruitment and Retention is a book and CD-ROM set that provides proven strategies from a leading hospitalist recruitment expert to help you find the right physicians for your practice and develop a strong program that retains committed hospitalists.

This hospitalist program resource will help you to:

  • Identify potential candidates

  • Ensure proper communication between program and recruits

  • Develop a pre-interview assessment

  • Conduct an on-site interview and visit

  • Define a follow-up process

  • Negotiate a contract

  • Construct a competitive compensation package

  • Improve efficiency and streamline staff

  • Implement a mentoring program for new hires

  • Set up schedules and balance workloads

  • Create a plan to expand your hospitalist program

Includes customizable tools on CD-ROM!

This book and CD-ROM set will provide both newly established and mature programs with the tools to help programs grow to meet demand, attract effective providers, and support individual hospitalists to strengthen retention.
