About the Author: D. H. Stamatis, Ph. D., CUE, CMfgE has been practicing improvement and management techniques in the field of quality for over 30 years. He has an advanced degree in statistics and management and is currently president of Contemporary Consultants. He has taught courses in Decision-Making, Operations Management, and Computers in Industry. Stamatis provided training and consulting to Ford Motor Company, and its supplier base, in the areas of statistical process control, gage and capability studies, machine acceptance, supplier quality, cost of quality, and design of experiments. Dr. Stamatis has authored several successful books in the field of quality.
