Listing for more than 12,000 AAA rated lodgings in the United States and Canada that accept pets!

Traveling with your Pet: The AAA Petbook is an animal-lover's best friend! This useful guide provides the important information you need when taking a trip with your pet, from packing tips to traveling by car to selecting the right pet-friendly accommodation. With more than 10,000 listings across North America -- including properties in each of AAA's diamond rating categories -- the PetBook is certain to be an invaluable guide for travelers...and their pets.

It features a list of emergency clinics throughout the United States and Canada, national parks that accept pets and other pet-friendly points of interest, such as dog parks throughout North America, and more than 12,000 AAA-RATEDr pet-friendly lodgings.

  • Handy lips for traveling with pets
  • National public lands that accept pets
  • Animal clinics throughout the United States
  • Hints for traveling by car or plane, including phone numbers of major airlines
  • Contact information for pet-friendly organizations
  • U.S./Canadian border crossing information

Most of the book reads like any standard travel book. Here, a careful reading can save you a bundle. Although many hotels are happy to house animals, surcharges range anywhere from $5 total to $100 per night and, in some cases, only particular species of small size are accepted.

Arranged alphabetically by state, you'll find hotels in both small towns and major cities, with a list of icons showing what amenities you can expect. Instead of descriptions of restaurants or spas, you'll find a sentence or two outlining pet policies.
