Frequently Asked Questions about the Directory of Healthcare Recruiters

1. How many healthcare recruiters are listed in the Directory?

Over 1,000 recruiters are listed from all areas of the country. All of the search firms recruit professionals in the healthcare industry. You will find other directories that list numerous industries, but none other that lists only healthcare firms. This simplifies the task of locating healthcare recruiters tremendously. Many, many times, the best positions in health care are not advertised in any way - these positions are filled by recruiters that find and interview the candidates for the employers.  (Click here to purchase)

2. Who uses the Directory? And, why?The Directory of Health Care Recruiters

Recruiters are becoming increasingly indispensable to both employers and job hunters. Thousands of copies of the Directory have been ordered by health care professionals, medical employers, human resource directors, job-seekers and many different types of vendors. Employers use the Directory to contact and engage recruitment firms in their searches for top-quality job candidates. Job-seekers normally use the Directory to send resumes and letters directly to recruiters, hoping to be considered for those hard-to-find good  positions. Recruiters also order this Directory so that they may network with one another. (Click here to purchase)

3. Who uses the Mailing Labels? And, why?

About 25% of all orders we receive are orders for the set of Mailing Labels or the special discounted Kit that includes both Mailing Labels and the Directory. The other 80% of our customers order only the Directory. Normally, the labels are ordered by vendors and job-seekers. We have many marketing and sales firms that purchase our mailing label sets on an annual or semi-annual basis.

Mailing Labels dramatically expedite mail-out campaigns, allowing customers, job seekers, marketers and employers to reach the largest number of healthcare recruiters in the shortest amount of time.  (Click here to purchase)

4. Do you have recruiters in my specific area of the healthcare industry?

Yes. This is the most exhaustive listing of healthcare recruiters on the market. All types of healthcare search firms are listed and are categorized by their specialties. For example, there are specialty listings for recruiters that work with doctors only, those that work with hospital executives only, those that work with information systems, with sales, biotech, pharmaceuticals, nursing, etc. Most large healthcare recruiters work with a variety of positions while many of the smaller firms work with a more defined specialty area. Both size of firm and area of specialty will be obvious from the manner in which the firms are listed in this Directory(Click here to purchase)

5. Do you have recruiters that serve my specific region of the country?

Yes. It is extremely important to remember that most recruiters serve very large regions. For example, many recruiters are clustered in metropolitan areas like Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Dallas or Los Angeles and that many of these recruiters will serve all or most of the United States. It is not at all uncommon, for example, for a recruiter in San Francisco to recruit for a position in Kansas City or for a recruiter in New Orleans to fill a position in rural Tennessee. The over 1,000 healthcare recruiters in this Directory are located all across North America, from Alaska to Miami, from Honolulu to Washington DC and from Maine to Tucson. We even have several search firms located in Canada. Therefore, no matter where you live in the United States, this Directory will provide you a large list of healthcare recruiters that serve your area.  (Click here to purchase)

6. If I don't have enough money to buy postage for a large mail-out to 1,000 recruiters, how will the Directory help me in my job search?

The Directory is exactly what you need, whether you are doing a large mail-out or not. Among the over 1,000 healthcare recruiters in this book, most recruiters are listed with their toll-free telephone numbers! Fortunately, most search firms appreciate receiving resumes by e-mail - so this can be tremendous way to cut the costs of a job search. Most of the listings also include e-mail addresses and web site addresses. The directory contains about 1,000 individual names, 1,000 postal addresses, 1,000 telephone numbers, 875 email addresses, over 1,000 fax numbers, and over 1,000 web page addresses! Each listing includes the recruiter's name, brief information regarding area of expertise and whether the firm is paid fees by the employers on contingency or retainer basis.

By studying the Directory, a job-seeker can also easily fine-tune a job search by limiting the postal mail-out to a smaller grouping of search firms that are either located in a specific region, or, those that only serve a specific sub-set of the healthcare industry. The Directory will always serve as a resource and, should the job-seeker wish to expand his or her search, a larger mail-out can be executed at a later date.  (Click here to purchase)

7. As a job-seeker, I have already answered many newspaper employment ads. Why do I need to contact recruiters?

Many people do find employment through the newspaper. As a job-seeker, you must assess your likelihood, though, of finding the most desirable position in that manner. If you are a specialist, a professional, a manager or have unique abilities, it is very likely that the positions you seek will never be listed in newspaper advertisements. Search firms fill choice positions - the ones that require special skills, offer higher pay or are hard to fill. Those jobs never show "above the radar" and may be held secretly by search firms. Furthermore, if you prefer a level of confidentiality (perhaps because you are currently employed), working with executive search firms is the most prudent way to conduct a successful job search. (Click here to purchase)

8. I am already working with a couple of recruiters - why do I need to contact other recruiters?

Different recruiters work with different employers. No single recruiter will know about all of the position openings in your area of healthcare. Employers contract with individual recruiters to fill individual positions. Therefore, one recruiter can only be knowledgeable about the specific position or specific employer that the recruiter is currently working with. If a job-seeker wants to be able to interview for several positions and pick the best job, that job-seeker needs to send resumes to many different search firms.  (Click here to purchase)

9. Do I have to pay a recruiter?

If you are a job-seeker, you never pay for the recruiters' services. Recruitment services are always paid for by the employer and never by the job candidate. In fact, recruiters "work for" the employers and not for job-seekers. Normally, the employer signs a contract with a recruiter, and agrees to pay his fee, long before the recruiter would talk with you about that specific employment opportunity. So, job-seekers can feel free to send resumes to search firms without ever worrying about paying for the services.  (Click here to purchase)

10. I have seen some generic recruiter directories for sale, so, why do I need the Directory of Healthcare Recruiters? The Directory of Health Care Recruiters

The Directory of Healthcare Recruiters contains only healthcare recruiters! Health care executives have performed the research necessary to create and update this directory, ensuring that every recruiter included is reputable and works with medical and health care employment. The Directory contains three cross-referenced sections: an alphabetical listing by name of firm; a second list that is alphabetized by the last name of the contact person, and, still another section that lists the search firms by state and city.

With our resource, just at a glance, you will be able to know the specialty area of healthcare that the recruiter works with, what region the firm is located in, how to contact them, and much more. Generic directories don't provide this level of specificity. With other directories, the healthcare recruiters are not listed together, so it can be very difficult to discern who does what. Our Directory is very straightforward, easy to use and dependable!  (Click here to purchase)

Many job seekers, personnel managers, employers and healthcare professionals have successfully relied on the Directory of Healthcare Recruiters for networking, building their staffs and taking control of their careers and futures. Join them and order your own Directory!
