The stated mission of the Journal is "to advance public health research, policy, practice, and education." APHA represents more than 70 public health professions. Journal readers are administrators and planners (19%), educators and information specialists (13%), physicians (8%), epidemiologists (8%), nurses (6%), scientists (5%), consultants (5%). Others include researchers, dietitians, and environmentalists.
