It is not necessary to be a member of APHA to subscribe to this newspaper and benefit from this tremendous expertise. From the threats of infectious disease and bioterrorism to the promotion of health screening and immunizations, The Nation's Health has been covering public health in the nation and around the globe for more than 30 years. Each month, The Nation's Health delivers the latest public health news, findings and information to more than 31,000 readers. The Nation's Health focuses on the news that public health professionals need to know, whether it's happening in their state legislatures, the nation's capital or on a global scale. Stories in The Nation's Health cover the public health spectrum, focusing on issues such as patients' rights, food safety, infrastructure, vision health, racial and ethnic disparities, environmental issues and traffic safety. Readers of The Nation's Health also get regular updates on APHA activities, including news on its Sections, Special Primary Interest Groups, Caucuses and Affiliates. Regular stories let readers know what APHA is doing to ensure that legislators and policy-makers take actions that support public health. It is not necessary to be a member of APHA to subscribe to this newspaper. The newspaper is published 10 times a year, with June/July and December/January serving as combined issues. APHA represents more than 70 public health professions.
